About us

Doon International School is a co-educational, day and residential school, situated in the Dehradun Valley. The school is in fact and spirit an international school, catering to the needs of students from all parts of the world. It prepares students according to standards prevailing in most countries, including India.

The courses of study as well as norms of achievement in every field are aimed at preparing our students for educational qualifications acceptable throughout the world. The curriculum for the school student is based on syllabi laid down by the reputed and universally acceptable Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Doon International School is run by a registered, educational, nondenominational, non-commercial, not for profit society consisting of committed educationists and social workers of high standing and repute.


Location
The school is located in the capital city of Uttarakhand, Dehradun. The school campus is situated in the heart of Dehradun's garden township, Dalanwala. The town is about 250 kilometers from New Delhi and is accessible by air, road and rail links from all metropolitan centers of India. The Doon Valley is one of the loveliest meadows in the world, surrounded in the north by the mighty Himalayas and on all other sides by the Shivalik range. Weather

The weather in the Doon Valley is pleasant through the year, with moderate seasons of hot, cold and rainy weather. The summer extends from mid May to end June. This is followed by the rains, which last until September. After a couple of months of extremely salubrious weather, winter sets in from November and lasts till February. The location of the Doon Valley at the foothills of the mountains ensures that there are no spells of extreme weather.
